To help projects get off the ground and get the most out of Restoration Insight, we provide free online training in Bedrock, our restoration framework. When you are ready to get started, you can choose to implement the framework yourself, use our planning services for the entire process or any combination of the two.
Planning
A detailed plan with clear and measurable goals is essential to implementing a successful restoration project. Our planning service is fully tailored to each project’s unique requirement — from guidance and review of plans created by practitioners, to production of a complete executable plan that includes evaluation criteria and mechanisms for adaptation and revision as the project proceeds.
Assessment
An initial assessment of existing conditions provides the baseline from which a solid restoration plan is built. We start with plan objectives and existing data from Restoration Insight™, then perform ground-truthing, gather supplemental data and identify potential reference sites to produce a detailed assessment that will guide further plan development. The result is a highly efficient assessment process that moves restoration projects forward on solid footing at a lower cost.
Monitoring
A well-designed monitoring plan and quality field data is essential to determining whether a restoration project is meeting its goals. We help design and implement credible science-based monitoring programs that don’t break budgets, geared toward providing data that identifies any necessary changes to restoration plans early on. We use a “guided volunteer” model which increases community and stakeholder involvement, while ensuring data is of the highest quality and interpreted by qualified experts.
